Pharos: Web Printing Instructions

Overview 

MobilePrint is a fully-responsive web interface that allows you to upload documents to the central Pharos printing queue and release print jobs to network printers. This means you can send your print jobs from your devices (via email or online) and release them to print once you're at the printer via the web or a mobile device. The article below will go over how to submit and print a MobilePrint job

Online Instructions 

  1. Navigate to printing.brockport.edu
  2. Log in with your netID and password

  1. Click Upload and select the document(s) you want to print. You can upload multiple documents at once

  1. When you're ready to print a document, click the box (first column) to select the document

  1. Before printing, you can edit the print options at the bottom of the screen. This includes selecting a double vs single sided, page ranges, and number of copies. (NOTE: Changing options may increase the cost from what was initially calculated)

  1. To print your document, select your printer and click Print (you can print to any network printer on campus, the easiest way to search is by location)

NOTE: If you are printing a document in color you need to make sure the printer has color capability (look for this icon: Color printer icon)

  1. The job will be sent to the selected printer for collection immediately after you clicking Print

Email Instructions

Pharos also allows you to upload print jobs via email. 

  1. Log into your Brockport email account (Desktop or Web Version) 
  2. Click New Message to send an email. The email should be sent to print@brockport.edu 
  3. Attach the file(s) you want to print to the email and send the email
  4. You should receive a confirmation email from print@brockport.edu confirming your job has been received

  1. You can go to a printing kiosk to release the job or follow the instructions from above

Checking Funds

At the start of each semester, $45.00 in printing money is automatically deposited into your account. 

NOTE: Funds roll over Fall --> Spring but NOT Spring --> Next Fall

  1. Navigate to My Printing Center
  2. Sign in with your Net ID and password 
  3. At the bottom of your screen the amount you currently have is listed. 

There was a printing problem, what do I do?
