How to Reset Your Password or Claim Your Account

To claim / activate / start using your Brockport account:

These steps apply to new SUNY Brockport users who have not yet activated their account. Please check the personal email address used you applying to Brockport and look for an email from Brockport-Accounts@brockport.edu. Take note of your Brockport email address and your claim code.

  1. Go to accounts.brockport.edu
  2. Select, Claim My Account.
  3. Enter your full Brockport Email Address (NetID@brockport.ed) and Claim Code. 
  4. Read and agree to Brockport's Acceptable Use policy.
  5. Create password.
  6. Go to office.com to sign into your account and setup multi-factor authentication.

To change your NetID password:

  1. Go to accounts.brockport.edu
  2. Enter your NetID and select Go
  3. Select, Forgot Password
  4. Complete the captcha and select, Next
  5. Depending on your account status, you may verify using:
    • The personal email you originally used when applying to Brockport.
    • A phone number or alternate email previously set up after claiming your account
  6. Once you receive the code, enter the code and select, Reset password
  •  NOTE: Brockport encourages you to set a strong, Brockport specific password for your account. To view the University's password practices and standard policy, click here
