How to Reset Your Password

The following are instructions to change your NetID password.

If you are getting the message that your account has been locked and to contact your administrator when trying to log into Office365 or Outlook, this likely means your password needs to be set for the first time or your password has expired and needs to be reset.  Please follow the instructions below to change your password using the "I do not know my current password" option and please remember it takes up to 30  minutes for your password to sync to Office365. Your new password will work for Web Banner right away. 

I know my NetID and Current Password

  1. To reset your NetID password you first need to access the NetID Lookup and Password Change System http://changer.brockport.edu  

  2. Enter your NetID, current password, and your new password twice. Note the guidelines listed at the top of the page regarding what a password should and should not contain                     

  3. Select “Change Password”.

  4. Your NetID password has now been changed. You will need to change your password again in six months.

    *Please note: This new password may take up to 30 minutes to sync to your email account and up to 15 minutes to sync to Blackboard

 

I do not know my NetID and/or Current Password

  1. To reset your NetID password you first need to access the NetID Lookup and Password Change System http:/changer.brockport.edu

  2. You will be presented with two options to reset your password:

    1. Option 1

      1. If you know your Banner ID (800 number)  enter the information in the corresponding fields and click “continue” located at the bottom of the page. If you don't your Banner ID you can find it on your EagleOne Card ID below your name. 

      2. You receive your NetID in the next screen.

      3. Create a new NetID password by entering your new password twice. Note the guidelines listed at the top of the page regarding what a password should and should not contain.

      4. Select “Change Password”.

      5. Your NetID password has now been changed. You will need to change your password again in six months.
