Service Description

Microsoft Teams is a supported collaboration software here at Brockport and  the hub for teamwork in Office365. A Microsoft Team is a collaboration space that can help people working in a group or on a project communicate more effectively in a customizable environment, while keeping information shared secure. This service can be used to request a new Team, update ownership if the owner of a Team is vacant, and to report issues with an existing Team. BITS needs to create teams, you can use this form to request your team. To download Teams for your computer or mobile device please click here. It is also available in the Software Center for Faculty and Staff using Windows computers.

Features

  • Direct Message Chat
  • Online Meetings, Calling, and Web Conferencing using Teams Live Events
  • Channel structure for topics of conversation to allow Team members to communication without the use of email or group messaging. You can use this request for Private channels
  • Ability to include images, attachments, and GIF's in posts 
  • Available for Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, and Windows 10 Mobile
  • Not to be used for communication to the whole campus community.  Please consider using the Daily Eagle or the Email Service Request form to communicate with the campus.
