Posting Photos of Found ID Cards on Social Media

A very concerning trend has come to our attention regarding students sharing images of found Brockport ID cards on various social media platforms, such as Snapchat and Yik Yak. While the intentions of the poster might be innocent, it can be harmful to the owner of the ID as their ID card contains sensitive information.

This situation has raised concerns due to the potential misuse of this information. For instance, the information available on these IDs could be exploited to initiate unauthorized activities, such as submitting Major Declaration forms on behalf of others, leading to improper changes in students' majors.
